A Quote That Changed The Way I Think l The Friday 3: August 6, 2021

Cheers to Friday!

Here's what I was doing this week.

1) What I'm Contemplating...

The wisdom of James Clear, entrepreneur and bestselling author of Atomic Habits.

This quote of his really struck a chord with me:

"Different meanings can be assigned to the same events.

Look for evidence of how the world is encouraging you, and you will find it.

Look for evidence of how the world is burdening you, and you will find it.

Choose an explanation that empowers you."

Wow, that's powerful. As I've tried to look for more evidence of how the world is encouraging me, I've felt empowered this week.

What does this quote mean to you? Reply to this email... I love to get your responses and read your thoughts!

2) What I'm Learning About...

The 10 foods that look like the body part they benefit.

For example…

Carrots are good for your eyes.

Walnuts are good for your brain.

Ginger is good for your stomach.

Figs are good for testes.

Tomatoes heal the heart.

Kidney beans are good for your kidneys.

Citrus is good for breasts.

Grapes are good for your lungs.

Sweet potatoes are good for the pancreas.

Avocados are good for the uterus.

This graphic does a great job of visualizing it.

3) What I'm Researching...

The most popular books and book genres of 2021.

If you are thinking about writing a book, you may want to take a look at this list of best-selling book content. Currently, the most popular book genre is romance. In the non-fiction genre, religious and inspirational books are most popular, and thrillers are the best-selling category in the audiobook category. You can find out more today’s best-selling books here.

Speaking of books, my next guest on Meet The Moment will be talking about how she built her brand in media and how she wrote and got her first book published by Harper Collins. Her name is Sara Schulting-Kranz, and she's a professional coach, wilderness guide, TEDx speaker, and executive producer of her upcoming documentary.

Have a great weekend!

All my best,

Marta Tracy
