Advice About Love That Changes Everything l The Friday 3: October 22, 2021
Here's what caught my eye this week.
1) I'm learning...
I was having a conversation with a friend this week who recently went through a breakup. One of the highlights of the conversation was finding and holding onto real love.
Then I said something that my friend found profound: if you want to be good in a subject, you read and study about it. So if you want to be good at love, you need to study love!
Read books from experts like Italian psychologist, Leo Busaglia who in 1985 wrote his first and classic book Love.
If you haven’t read The 5 Love Languages, this may be a good time to do so. This New York Times bestseller from Gary Chapman offers simple ideas for lasting love. With over 20 million copies sold, it may be worth the investment of less than $10.
My favorite book is Attached which explains the attachment styles. My friend told me this changed his perception of love and relationships, and I think that's a glowing review!
2) I'm understanding...
more about the benefits of forgiveness.
lowering levels of anxiety
reducing blood pressure
improving your immune system
greater ability to deal with stress
better religious and sense of self-being
3) I'm sharing...
a FREE gift from one of my favorite thought leaders, Brian Johnson.
